Beautify Your Concrete
With Concrete Stamping
Concrete is a very interesting and
diverse material. It is considered inexpensive and is used for
almost every type of hard property need. Stamped
Concrete is easily formed and if it is heated
internally it can be colored and stamped. This process of
coloring and stamping can make the concrete visually attractive
and in some cases quite stunning. When a properly concrete
stamping job is completed, the entire concrete area looks
beautiful. This can add to the value of a home as well as
providing esthetics to any concrete surface.
A wide range of stamped concrete can be done
throughout the property to create different looks. For
example a driveway can be stamped as “cobblestone” or kitchen
floors can be made to look “terrizo”. The possibilities are
endless.
Concrete stamping can turn your old dull
concrete into a special design with not so
much effort
Concrete stamping is done after the concrete has been
placed. A hardener is applied, and after any excess water has
evaporated, it is slick finished. Then usually a powder release
product is applied just prior to stamping. This release product
keeps the stamping tools from pulling up the concrete or
lending another color shade to the intended work.
Texture skins are used to texture to the end of the material
to ensure uniform. Next, a tamper is used to imprint the
pattern and the texture of the stamp into the concrete. It is
crucial to keep the stamps fitted tightly together. It is
possible to break up the primary pattern to hide the expansion
joint. The first mat laid down is crucial to the layout of the
entire job, so a professional is greatly needed to get a
satisfactory end result.
After completing the concrete stamping, the concrete needs
to set for approximately 1-4 days, depending on climate
factors. Then the excess is pressure washed off of the surface.
Afterwards a sealant is usually applied to protect against
staining and enrich the color and concrete stamp.
The result outcome is amazing, the stamped concrete has a
new life, a new color and sure do not look like plain old
concrete you used to have. So give concrete stamping a chance
and we are sure that you will be pretty satisfied with your
newly concrete stamps
